EU trader information
This page discloses Seldeo, Inc.'s trader information for consumers in the European Union, as required by:
- Directive (EU) 2019/2161 ("Omnibus Directive"), which added Article 6a to the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) obliging traders to publish identity and contact details before the conclusion of a distance contract.
- Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the "Digital Services Act", DSA) Article 30, which obliges providers of online platforms to publish equivalent information.
- Directive (EU) 2000/31/EC (the e-Commerce Directive) Article 5, which obliges providers of information-society services to keep identity and contact details permanently accessible to recipients of the service.
Seldeo publishes this page even though it is not established in the Union, because our services are directed to and used by consumers located in Union member states.

All of these addresses allow for direct, effective, and rapid communication in the meaning of Article 5(1)(c) of Directive 2000/31/EC.
DSA-specific contact points

- DSA Article 12 point of contact for recipients of the service: safety@seldeo.com. Communications may be sent in any official language of a Member State in which the service is offered.
- DSA Article 13 legal representative in the Union: to be designated when Seldeo satisfies the criteria in Article 13(1). As at 2026-07-15, Seldeo is not a "very large online platform" (VLOP) and has not appointed a legal representative in the Union. Consumers in the Union may nonetheless correspond with the contact points above.
Marketplace / commercial-user trader status
Seldeo is not an online marketplace within the meaning of Directive 2011/83/EU as amended. Seldeo does not intermediate the conclusion of distance contracts between third-party traders and consumers, and does not offer goods or services from third-party sellers to consumers.
If Seldeo introduces creator monetization or commercial partnerships in the future, this section will be revised before those features launch and Article 6b of the Consumer Rights Directive (traders on marketplaces) will be complied with by trader-status verification of the affected accounts.
Complaints and out-of-court redress
- Internal complaint route: safety@seldeo.com for content-moderation complaints, privacy@seldeo.com for privacy complaints, legal@seldeo.com for all others. Response targets in the Safety and Reporting Policy and the Privacy Policy.
- Out-of-court redress (DSA Article 21): consumers in the Union may select a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body once designated by the European Commission for the domain in question. Seldeo will engage in good faith with those bodies. A public list is maintained by the European Commission.
- Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: the European Commission ODR platform is available to consumers residing in the Union for the resolution of disputes arising from online contracts. Seldeo, Inc.'s ODR contact address is legal@seldeo.com. (Note: the ODR platform is scheduled to be phased out by the European Commission during 2025-2026; this entry will be revised once the successor mechanism enters into force.)
- National consumer-protection authority: consumers may complain to the consumer-protection authority in the Member State in which they reside. A list of national contact points is available at Your Europe – Consumer protection.
Applicable law and consumer rights
Seldeo's Terms of Service are governed by the law of North Carolina, but this does not deprive a consumer resident in an EU Member State of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the Member State in which the consumer is habitually resident (Regulation (EC) 593/2008, "Rome I", Article 6). Consumers may bring proceedings before, and may be sued only in, the courts of their Member State of habitual residence (Regulation (EU) 1215/2012, "Brussels I bis", Articles 17–19).
Nothing on this page limits any statutory consumer right you may have under Union or national law.
