Reporting content, messages, or accounts
Report a post, story, or reel
Tap the ⋮ menu on the content → Report. Choose a reason and (optionally) add context. You do not need to identify yourself to the person you're reporting; reports are anonymous to the reported party.
Report a message or conversation
- A single message — long-press the message → Report.
- An entire conversation — open the conversation's ⋮ menu → Report. This copies the last 30 messages to our reviewers along with the report.
Report a profile
- Open the profile → ⋮ menu → Report.
- Reason categories: impersonation, harassment, self-harm concern, spam, other.
What happens next
- Your report enters our queue and is triaged for severity. Imminent-harm reports skip the queue.
- A human reviewer opens the report, looks at the reported material in context, and applies our Community Guidelines.
- We take action: warn, remove content, restrict features, suspend, or ban.
- You get a notification with the outcome.
Our internal targets: 4 hours for imminent-harm reports, 24 hours for everything else. We publish quarterly transparency reports showing how well we hit these targets.
Appealing our decision
If the outcome feels wrong, tap Appeal in the notification. A second reviewer opens the case from scratch. Appeals are usually reviewed within 72 hours.
Immediate permanent bans for child-safety violations cannot be appealed through the app; contact safety@seldeo.com if you believe there was a factual error.
Reporting someone in crisis
If a friend appears to be in mental-health crisis, report the concerning post or story. Our reviewers have a protocol that includes surfacing regional crisis resources to the person and (in acute cases) contacting local emergency services if we have reasonable identifying information.
Do not try to substitute for professional help — call your local crisis line directly and, if you can, reach the person yourself.
